It has now been a year,
And we learned life how dear.
The words the doctors has to say
Really could have ruined you life that day.
You stood and fought the fight
It is your life and right.
So far your battle, you have won.
I am proud of you, I know it was no fun.

I take a moment to look in
confirm what I already know
Lifeless
The eyes of some ones child
Pale blue
As I work I wonder about this lifeless body
Young
But old enough to have seen
Life
Those eyes once looked upon her own child
Never again
Once there dwelled a soul beyond them
Destiny
Now the end has come
Fate
I look into his eyes
Sorrow
The eyes of some one who cherished her
Deep brown
A soul still thriving
But why?
Eyes of a stranger
Gazing
The voices with news
Utter
It is the end
We have done it all

Day Before

Some days time will not pass,
I wish today it would go fast.
It is not what happened today,
But what is the past that makes me pray.
